Marco Capuano focuses on strategic business development, market access and growth, regulatory affairs, and communications strategies. In addition to his consulting work, Marco is currently a member of the Trade Committee of the Kentucky World Trade Center and on the advisory board of Network Economy.Between 2003 and 2005, Marco took a senior position with Weber Shandwick Worldwide, putting in place, managing and developing the technology practice's business in Paris and Brussels. As Director of Technology Practice, Marco's main focus involved defining and implementing extensive international corporate communications strategies for companies such as BT and Microsoft.
Before that, in his role as senior manager in the international business and strategy department at LogicaCmg, Marco assessed new markets, analyzed and developed business opportunities, negotiated, magaged, and implemented international partnerships and M&A. In addition, he advised and assisted national regulatory authorities on market liberalization issues. Prior to Logica, Marco worked as Senior Associate in the law firm Bonelli, Erede, & Pappalardo, at which he was involved in several anti-trust cases. For instance, he assisted New Holland (Fiat Group) in the acquisition of Case.
Marco graduated with a law degree from La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. During that time, he also worked as a journalist for an Italian regional daily newspaper, winning two awards for his articles on European affairs and policy. Marco has lived and worked in Italy, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He is tri-lingual Italian, French and English, with a working knowledge of Portuguese and Spanish.
